How to make Garlic Chicken Casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 1b/900 g chicken meat, chopped
- 3 cups white mushrooms, sliced
- 16 shallots
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped finely
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 cup chicken bouillon
- 1 fresh bouquet garni, with sage and 1 celery stalk
- 14 oz/400 g canned borlotti beans, drained and rinsed
- salt and pepper
- steamed squash, to serve
serves 4
How to prepare:
Heat the sunflower oil in an ovenproof casserole and sauté the chicken until browned all over. Remove the chicken from the casserole with a draining spoon and set aside until required.
Add the mushrooms, shallots, and garlic to the casserole and cook for 4 minutes.
Return the chicken to the casserole and sprinkle with the flour, then cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the white wine and chicken bouillon, stir until boiling, then add the bouquet garni. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the beans to the casserole.
Cover and place in the center of a preheated oven, 300°F/150°C, for 2 hours. Remove the bouquet garni and serve the casserole with the squash.
